Trick
or Treat, guys
28/10/2000 - The time has come again my
friends. The time of year when Karya dusts off her broomstick and buys a
plastic black cat for show. Next time you see something drift across the moon,
if it's oddly shaped Karya could be watching you...anyway, Happy Halloween!!!
Big thanks go to Syl, for my rather cool logo - cheer mate, much appreciated!!

Weird Happenings...
28/10/2000 - Apparently Free Magic is the
order of the day this Halloween! I don't really know too much about it, but
players have been excited about everyone getting magic. For free! Will
you please send me anything funny that comes out of it? ;0)
Lowlife
Pk'ing Frolics!
28/10/2000 - One name. Astaroth. A
player. A player with no morals or ethics, it seems too. A very angry player
(who didn't send his name in the e-mail) told me to call him a
hypocritical something. Obviously I've put the something there myself. For the
younger readers <g>. You can probably guess what was
there...
So, what did Astaroth do, exactly? Well, apart from supposedly moaning about
being pk'ed himself one day, and then pk'ing everything in sight the next, not
much. Oh I nearly forgot! Apparently he kills warriors. With Superheroes. Now
I don't know if this is true, but our anonymous friend reckons so! This isn't
breaking the rules, but if it IS true, it's downright appaling. Warrior isn't
much, I know, but for newer players it is. And to have that taken away (and it
WAS a new player, i've been told by anon) is rather crap. Hmph.
Weird
Happenings...
22/10/2000 - Waking up bright and early
(look 10:00am is early for me, ok?) one morning last week, I logged on for a
bit of mudding when strange things started happening. First of all, I checked
how long was left (101 minutes, this was looking good...) and then went afk to
take a quick leak. I come back about 1 minute later to find that I had timed
out. The game had not only accused me of not inputting a command for 4
minutes, it also chucked me to the option prompt. Fair enough, I thought, it
might have been a long pee. I logged in again and went on a quick scramble to
get some protection from nasty pk's and then was shocked to find an auto-reset
about to initiate. Not a wiz-reset or a mortal-reset. It appears either the
game was going RATHER fast, or I had just lost over an hour of my life in the
toilet!!! I decided to go back to bed, wondering what the hell had just
happened....
Round
and Round and...
22/10/2000 - What an awful headline.
Anyway, congratulations to Carousel, who won the mud2 big brother event, being
the only player not to be voted out! Well done!! Here's hoping this becomes a
regular event.
What's
this? Rocko?!?!
17/10/2000 - I checked my mail box a few
days ago to find that I had got mail from Rocko, with an article for me to put
up. Not a story (which surprised me), but a well-written (with no spelling
mistakes!) discussion on the constant battle between pk's and apk's. Big
thanks go to Rocko for this article - if you've (meaning you the reader, not
you Rocko, although if Rocko is reading then it applies to you...um, er...never
mind <g>) got anything you want to discuss or get off your chest then
send it and I'll put it up! Rocko's article is here.
Enjoy!
Davina!!!
Wooo!!!
17/10/2000 - Big Brother's having a few
hiccups apparently. The game keeps crashing when the contestants get in full
swing. When the game does run ok, the contestants apparently set fire to the
couch and slaughter the chickens :0) Ah, to be a fly on the wall....
Hot
Hotel :0)
17/10/2000 - Not Richard's ideas of
a...sexual mud, but right under our noses - in the tearoom!! My sources (very
good ones too) tell me people were feeling rather randy a few days ago, with
poor Pippin getting his face rubbed in Anna's bum amongst other things. I'm
saying nothing.....heheheh. <winks>
When is
a Wiz not a wiz.. (1)
17/10/2000 - Droo, our wiz number 19 has
been de-wizzed. Although I don't know the full story, Foddy sent a bb message
(number 50 something if you want to read it) to everyone saying that Droo had
broke the wiz rules by helping one of his mortals. Droo hasn't got immediate
plans to go for wiz again, apparently. I just want to say that I think it's a
shame - although me and Droo weren't exactly the best of mates, I think that
he was a good wiz. There was never a dull moment when he was around. :0(
When is
a Wiz not a wiz.. (2)
17/10/2000 - I happened to see Azzuri in
the tea-room yesterday morning. As a yeoman. Naturally curious (who wouldn't
be? <g>), I asked if he was still a wiz or not. A casual shrug was my
only reply. I WAS gonna ask him for a duel (I was a swordy <g>) but
thought better of it...
It's Muddled Time(s)
6/10/2000 - The latest issue of Muddled Times has
been published, and it keeps on getting better let me tell you. With lost
of interesting articles and fictional stories, if you are an avid mudder
you should have read it by now! My fave bit this issue was the sound bytes
from the last mudmeet. You all sound totally different thatn I ever thought
:0) Check out Muddled Times here,
Karya and the crew won't disappoint!
MA and controversial
quizzes
6/10/2000 - Ah. In-game quizzes. Lovely things.
Gandalf usually has them on Sunday nights where you can gamble a level
5 or higher persona for a prize. Failure to win means death. The MA quiz
is a bit different however. Taking place before the Thursday bash (around
8pm ish) the quiz is a hell of a lot of fun. So when an innocent enough
question of "How many seaworthy boats are there in the land?" came up,
a few different answers arose. Some people were counting the less-boat-shape
objects that you can sail on, since they were seaworthy. Some weren't.
Chaos ensued in the aftermath, and I logged on on Monday to have 12 mails
from MA alone, "discussing" the matter :0) Come along next Thursday and
join the fun <g>.
Woo, I'm
officially an old man!
6/10/2000 - Yep. I'm 19 on Sunday, which is one
of the reasons why I didn't enter the Big Brother house - I'll be rather
sloshed most of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday :0)
Mud2
Big Brother Starts Sunday!
6/10/2000 - Be there about
5pm to witness the start of this great event - should be a corker.
Lack of updates
explained...
6/10/2000 - My hard drive knackered. Simple as.
I lost everything on it (including the site, my programs, address books,
ICQ lits, my half-life and duke mudem levels...<sobs>). So I've been
spending these last few days trying to get everything back on track so
sorry about no updates - it won't happen again. Promise.
